AV Scan PDF turns your phone into a pocket document scanner. Put the page down, point the camera, and the app finds the edges, crops to them, flattens the page and exports a PDF.

YOUR DOCUMENTS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
Page detection, image processing, text recognition and barcode reading all run on your device. The app sends no image, document or recognised text to a server, because it has no server to send them to.

The app asks for the camera to photograph documents. To import an existing picture it uses the system photo picker, which needs no permission at all on Android 13 and later, and storage read access on older versions. It does not request contacts, location or microphone.

ADVERTISING AND ADVANCED FEATURES
The app is free and shows advertising. Four advanced features — a searchable text layer in the PDF, password protection, export at the original resolution, and text recognition across the whole document — unlock by watching one ad, for a single export.
