AutoSOS

You know the emergency numbers 110 and 112. But do you really think you can always call them when you need them?

Probably not always. What if someone is threatening you and they mustn't know you're calling for help? What if you can't reach your phone after a fall? What if you're too scared to speak? That's exactly what AutoSOS is for.

HOW IT WORKS

You choose people you trust. In an emergency, you discreetly trigger an alarm: with a small Bluetooth button in your pocket or via the app. Your trusted contacts immediately see your location and hear live what's happening around you. Because they know you and your surroundings, they can assess the situation and decide: call the police, go to your location, or call you.

The button is a Flic 2, available separately at https://flic.io. You press it without taking out your phone.

Without a button, the phone can also respond to a pre-set phrase and trigger an alarm, even with the screen locked. This feature is still in testing.

ON THE GO

A trusted contact person accompanies you remotely on your way home. If you don't check in with "I've arrived safely" in time, an alarm will automatically be triggered.

FOR YOUR PARENTS

Do your parents live alone, and you're wondering what happens if one of them falls and the phone is in another room? Set up AutoSOS on their phone and register yourself as a trusted contact. They simply press a Bluetooth button on their wristband, and you'll be notified. The alarm will show you their location and let you hear what's happening. With Premium, you can also talk to them until help arrives.

IMPORTANT

AutoSOS alerts your trusted contact person, not the police. It's not a home emergency call system with a central monitoring station and doesn't automatically detect a fall. Therefore, it doesn't replace emergency services: If you can call 110 or 112, do so – and if not, use AutoSOS.
