Astra Driver

Astra Driver is the companion app for drivers who provide non-emergency medical transportation with Astra Care. Access requires an Astra Care driver account, and your dispatcher assigns trips to you and keeps the app updated in real time.

You can see all of your assigned trips in one list sorted by date, and open any trip to view the rider, level of service, pickup and drop-off addresses, scheduled times, phone numbers, and staff notes, including important rider notes such as accessibility or special-needs information. Each trip shows the pickup and drop-off points on a map with a suggested route, and while you drive you can see your own live location with the route updating toward your next stop. When you are ready to go, tap Navigate to open your preferred maps app for turn-by-turn directions.

Completing a trip is simple: start the trip, mark the rider as picked up, and mark the drop-off, and the trip finishes automatically once all stops are done. You can cancel a trip with a required reason, mark a rider as a no-show when they are not present, and work through multi-stop routes with a step-by-step stop list. You can call the rider directly from the trip screen or message them through in-app chat, and you are notified whenever a trip is assigned to you or removed from you, with every alert kept on a dedicated notifications page.

The app also handles day-to-day tasks off the road. You can request days off and track their status, submit expense and money requests with receipt photos, request items or supplies, complete your daily vehicle inspection checklist with photos, and send feedback to the office. You can set a profile photo and view your performance and feedback. While a trip is active, the app shares your location with the rider so they can see you approaching, and sharing stops when the trip ends. Light, dark, and system themes are supported. Astra Driver is intended for authorized Astra Care drivers only.
