SMA outcome measures IT

The SMA Outcome Measures IT app is a digital solution integrated into the ISMAC-ITASMAC Registry. It allows the completion of the HINE, CHOP, HFMSE, RHS, WHO, RULM, and ULM scores (or scales) already computerized within the ISMAC-ITASMAC Registry via tablet.

The Registry is a tool to support clinical practice and research activities, enabling clinicians and researchers to share information on neuromuscular diseases.

The SMA Outcome Measures IT app, thanks to an optimized graphic layout that faithfully reproduces the paper versions of the scales, simplifies the work of physicians and physiotherapists, allowing for rapid completion and promoting greater patient care, including through the joint completion of some scales.

A PDF file can be downloaded or printed for each completed scale. Furthermore, the app includes a section dedicated to the graphical display of individual scale trends, useful for monitoring each patient's scores over time and supporting the structured collection of clinical data within the Registry.

The application is intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals to support the collection and consultation of clinical data, including for registries and research purposes. The app does not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or replace a physician's clinical judgment.
