The Digital Infrastructure for the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) Scheme is an advanced digital platform designed to facilitate the seamless implementation of DBT initiatives in a plug-and-play manner, ensuring complete end-to-end digitization. This technology-driven ecosystem is centered around citizen-oriented service delivery, utilizing information technology while adhering to privacy protocols, promoting good governance, and fostering the empowerment of society. The platform is highly configurable, created to offer an integrated solution that supports processes such as citizen registration, intake, and the disbursement of benefits. Additionally, it helps assess citizens’ eligibility for various government-run social programs or schemes.

The platform is designed to incorporate and onboard all key stakeholders within the DBT ecosystem, including both government and relevant non-government entities. A crucial feature of the platform is its ability to establish an "Integrated Social Registry," a comprehensive data repository that consolidates citizen information across various social welfare programs. This repository serves as a cornerstone for simplifying government service delivery by streamlining the process of welfare scheme implementation.

The primary objective of this platform is to transform the government’s welfare delivery system by re-engineering existing processes. The goal is to create a more efficient and transparent flow of information and funds, thereby ensuring precise targeting of beneficiaries. This process also aims to eliminate data duplication and significantly reduce the risk of fraud. The introduction of DBT has proven to be an effective mechanism for improving the accuracy and transparency of beneficiary identification and fund distribution.

The Finance (IF) Department serves as the key coordinating body for the execution and oversight of DBT schemes within the state. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize the public welfare system, enabling faster, more accurate delivery of government benefits directly to the intended recipients.
