Overview

Features & Capabilities

■ A Party Game for Seeing People's Faces and Laughing

Asobino is an app for playing with people right in front of you.

You can't play with someone on the other side of the internet or with AI. You can only play with people who are physically present.

That's why you'll be looking at the other person's face, not just a screen.

■ No Wi-Fi or Router Needed

Even without a Wi-Fi connection, devices with the app installed can connect directly.

It works fine even if you have a mix of iPhones and Androids.

You can play in the mountains, underground, or even at an airport right after landing from a plane.

We have just one request.

Please keep your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches on.

While you don't need a router to connect to, turning them off will prevent devices from finding each other.

Since communication is completed only in the moment, there are no communication charges.

One person simply presses "Create a Room," and others press "Join Someone's Room."

That's all it takes to connect 4, 6, or even more people.

The rooms are listed by name, like in "Kenji's Baba Shuffle," so even if there are many rooms open in a crowded place, you won't enter the wrong one.

■ Included Games

▶ Daifugo (2-6 players)
Revolution, 8-cut, Bind, Straight, Spare 3 return. Rules can be switched in the lobby.
The outcome of the game carries over to the next round as a "handicap," which is borne by the poorest player and received by the richest player.
The more games played, the more stories accumulate around the table.

▶ Baba Shuffle (2-6 players)
This is a variation of Old Maid with the added element of a "shuffle time" for reversals.
Only the player with the Joker can press this button. Using it circulates everyone's hands in seating order.
Drawing a card requires a "double tap." The first tap reveals the card on the opponent's screen, so you can see their reaction and decide whether to stop or continue drawing.

The game of Old Maid, once purely by chance, becomes a game of strategy.
Shuffle time can be turned off in the room settings, so you can also play it as a regular game of Old Maid.

▶ Poker Face (2 players)
Only your own cards are hidden. You can see your opponent's cards.
Your only clues are your opponent's facial expressions and how they play their cards. The moment you realize "I would have won if I hadn't folded" after folding is
the most chaotic part of this game.

▶ Speed (2 players)
A masterpiece of reflexes. When both players play at the same time, a photo judgment declares "Simultaneous!!" and accepts both.
There's no "I tapped first but lost" situation, so there are no arguments.
When stuck, both players call out "One, two, three!" The cards are only revealed when both players press simultaneously.

▶ Mahjong Solitaire (2-4 players)
The single-player picture-matching puzzle Mahjong Solitaire is transformed into a speed-grabbing game where everyone competes to grab the same pile.

It's not your own pile, but one shared pile for everyone. The person who finds two identical tiles takes them.

The first person to touch a tile takes it, so if you hesitate, someone else might snatch it.

Taking consecutive tiles creates a combo. Gold, rainbow, black, and typhoon tiles flip the table over.

No Mahjong rules are needed. Just find matching pictures.

▶ Just Slice (2-4 players)
A whole cake, watermelon, or T-bone steak. You're told to "divide it into X equal parts" based only on your estimation.
Tracing your finger across the screen will cause the blade to cut along the traced line. You can bend your finger or draw multiple lines.

Only the pieces your finger passes through will break, so you can even divide it into 12 equal parts in 5 moves (3 vertical + 2 horizontal).

Once everyone has finished cutting, everyone reveals their results at once. Each piece has a "+1.5%" surplus or deficit, and the person with the smallest difference between the largest and smallest pieces wins.
It can also be played cooperatively, with each player taking turns cutting one piece of a single ingredient, and everyone contributing one point.

■ No account, no ads, and no in-app purchases

You can play simply by entering your name (nickname) at the beginning. No registration, login, or personal information input is required.

Your name is saved only on your device and is only visible as the "room name" to nearby players.

No ads. No in-app purchases. No data collected.

■ Perfect for these situations:

・When you forget your playing cards at a campsite or cottage

・While waiting for food at a bar

・With family at your parents' house during a visit

・During long waits on a trip

■ No problem if someone doesn't know the rules

All six games come with short rule explanations.

When the person who created the room sets the rules, they are displayed simultaneously on everyone's screen.

When the game starts, the "Rules for this Table" will appear once for all participants.

You can also reread them at any time during the game by tapping the "?" in the upper right corner.

■ How to Play

1. Everyone turns on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (no need to connect to anything else)
2. Everyone opens Asobino and enters their name (only the first time; it will remember from then on)
3. One person chooses a game they want to play and "Create a Room"
4. Others press "Join Someone's Room" and

Tap the room that appears, such as "Kenji's Baba Shuffle"

When iPhones and Androids are mixed, it will be faster if the person with more devices creates the room.

Even those without the app can join from a browser.

Simply scan the QR code that appears on the room screen.

(For this method of participation only, the participant and the host must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Free Wi-Fi at facilities may not work because communication between devices is blocked.)

■ Future Update Plans

We will be adding more games, such as Werewolf and Word Wolf.
