Freight Calc: CBM & Weight

Freight Calc is a CBM calculator, volumetric weight calculator and container loading calculator in one offline app, for freight forwarders, logistics coordinators and anyone who quotes or checks a shipment. Every result shows the rule behind it.

CHARGEABLE WEIGHT (VOLUMETRIC OR DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT)
Enter carton dimensions, gross weight and quantity in centimetres and kilograms or inches and pounds. The app works out the volumetric weight, also called dimensional or DIM weight, compares it with the actual gross weight and tells you which one the carrier will charge. Start from a preset, then edit the divisor, the volumetric basis and both rounding steps so the result matches your own contract.

Presets: air freight under IATA Resolution 502 at a divisor of 6000, DHL Express Worldwide courier at 5000, sea freight LCL weight or measure at 1 CBM to 1000 kg, and DHL Freight Norway road groupage at 333 kg per CBM. Each preset states what it covers and what it does not.

CBM CALCULATOR
Add one line per carton size. Get the total cubic metres, total gross weight and average density, with no rounding between lines.

CONTAINER LOADING CALCULATOR
How many cartons fit in a 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high cube container? The app tries all six ways up and checks both the cubic capacity and the payload. The answer is a planning estimate. It does not model interlocking patterns, pallets, dunnage or weight distribution.

INCOTERMS 2020
All eleven rules: EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAP, DPU, DDP, FAS, FOB, CFR and CIF. For each one, who clears export, who pays the main carriage, who insures, who clears import and where the risk passes to the buyer. Plain language summaries, not the ICC text.
