Artiz is a free wallpaper app that puts a painting on your lock screen. You
glance down, and instead of a notification, there's a Vermeer. Tap it, and
you'll see what it's called and who made it. That's the whole idea.

A new artwork shows up every day if you want, or you can open the app when
you feel like it and discover more. Renaissance faces, Dutch still lifes
with suspicious-looking lemons, Monet's gardens, Sargent's quick brush,
Bellows' boxers. 600 + hand-picked paintings, prints, and drawings, at full
resolution, ready to set as your home or lock screen wallpaper.

No ads. No accounts. No tracking. Nothing to sign up for, nothing leaving
your phone, nothing being sold to anyone.

About the art

Every painting, print, and sketch in Artiz comes from the National Gallery
of Art's Open Data Program, public-domain works released under CC0 that
anyone can use freely. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Monet, Cassatt, Sargent, Bellows,
Cézanne, Renoir, van Gogh, and many more. Classical, modern, and abstract,
all hand-curated. Artiz isn't affiliated with the Gallery in any way.
It just carries their collection around in your pocket.
