Want to reduce screen time and earn something from it? The Knowledge Gate turns every time you log in to time-wasting apps into an opportunity to learn English.

How it works:
• Choose which apps are "wasting" your time (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more).
• Every time you open one of them — a short English question pops up. Correct answer, and continue.
• The more time you have left, the more questions you have: the next time you will require two questions, then three — gentle, but reminding you to stop.
• The level rises with you: you start with basic words, and gradually reach the vocabulary of the matriculation exams.

The vocabulary in the app is built according to the vocabulary lists (Lexical Bands I–III) published by the Ministry of Education as part of the English curriculum — over 2,000 words, from basic to the matriculation module, including full definition questions in English at the higher levels.

It does not represent the Ministry of Education or any other government body, is not affiliated with it, and is not approved, supported or funded by it, and does not provide any government service. The vocabulary lists are public documents published by the Ministry of Education, and the links to their full source appear above.

No coercion and no complicated locks: If you want, just skip. The goal is a little reminder and a little learning — not a wall. You are in control: choose the apps, determine how many minutes of browsing each correct answer gives, and turn off whenever you want.

Complete privacy: The app uses "access to usage data" to identify which app was opened, and "display above apps" to display the question. All data remains on your device only — no information is sent anywhere, there are no advertisements and no tracking.
