About the Warsh from Nafi' narration:
The Warsh from Nafi' narration is considered one of the most widely transmitted narrations used in the Holy Qur'an recitation in various Islamic countries, especially in North Africa and the Maghreb countries. Islamic historians attribute this narration to Abu Sa'id Uthman ibn Sa'id ibn Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Sulayman, nicknamed Warsh, who lived in Egypt between 197 and 110 AH.
Imam Warsh was known in Egypt for his beautiful voice, his mastery of the Arabic language, and his mastery of the rules of Qur'anic recitation. He was aided by his reading of the Quran under his sheikhs in Egypt. However, he soon traveled to Medina to hone his talent under Imam Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym, who read several Khatmahs with various versions in 155 AH. He approved his recitation because it aligned with some of the versions Nafi' had learned from his seventy sheikhs.

He then returned to Egypt, becoming the Sheikh of Reciters in Egypt. This is an indication that the people of that country recognized his recitation, despite their exposure to the recitations of the people of Medina during their Hajj pilgrimages and their familiarity with the recitations of the sheikhs and imams residing among them. From that time, Warsh's recitation became widespread and has remained accepted to this day.
