Definition of reading Hadr
Reciting the Hadr is reading quickly, taking into account the rules of Tajweed. It is one of the three levels of recitation, and the Hadr is considered the best of them. It is completely different from reading the investigation, as when Ibn Mujahid was asked, “Who is the most readable of people?” He said: Whoever achieves understanding, and whoever says the best of them is investigation with contemplation, even if it is with little recitation, because the purpose of the Qur’an is to understand it and act on it, and its recitation and memorization is only a means to that, then all ranks are permissible, and each rank has its status, investigation for teaching, Hadr for study and recall, and rotation. To understand and contemplate.
It is worth noting that reading Hadr is the doctrine and method of reading and reciting many well-known reciters such as Ibn Kathir, Abu Jaafar, Abu Amr, Ya’qub, Qalun, Al-Asbahani, Al-Wali on the authority of Hafs, and others, but caution must also be taken when reading the Qur’an by avoiding reading too much.
