Sound Scout: Extra Awareness

Sound Scout helps you stay aware of sudden or loud sounds around you while using headphones, working, resting. Just keep your phone nearby.

Start Scout Mode and the app monitors microphone levels locally on your device. When a loud or sudden sound is detected in your environment, Sound Scout can show a high-contrast screen flash and wake-screen alert. You can adjust microphone sensitivity to fit your room and use the test alert to verify your setup.

Privacy: Sound Scout processes audio locally on your device. It does not upload audio recordings to external servers. Local event history, when enabled in Pro, stays on your device.

Sound Scout is designed as an awareness aid, not as an emergency service, medical device, security system, or guaranteed detection system. Detection can vary based on device microphone quality, distance, background noise, battery restrictions, Android permission settings, and your selected sensitivity level.
