Ladle: Recipe Keeper & Saver

Ladle keeps your recipes in one place, on your phone. Share a recipe page from your browser, tap Save, and it's in your recipe box with the photo, ingredients and steps. No sign-up, no account, no ads.

• Save from the web in 2 taps — share any recipe page to Ladle and a small card opens over your browser: photo, title, "12 ingredients · 8 steps". Tap Save, or Review to edit first. Already saved? Ladle tells you instead of making a copy.
• Never lose an import — every import opens as a draft and nothing is counted until you save it. If a site can't be read, Ladle shows what it found and lets you open the page or paste the text.
• Write or paste your own — type family recipes or paste text from anywhere; Ladle splits it into title, ingredients and steps.
• Scale and convert — change the servings and every amount updates, with friendly fractions (1 ½ cups, not 1.5). Switch between metric and US units, and oven temperatures convert too.
• Cook mode with step timers — one step at a time in big type, the screen stays on, and the ingredients for that step are shown underneath. Tap "12 min" in a step to start a timer; run several at once and get an alert when each one ends.
• Shopping list — add a recipe's ingredients with one sheet: pick the servings, untick what you already have (salt, pepper and oil start unticked), and check items off in the store.
• Find it fast — search by title, ingredient or tag, mark favourites, rate recipes and pin a favourite to your home screen.
• Your recipes stay on your phone — export everything (recipes, photos, lists and plans) to a single .zip file and import it on a new phone. Export and import are free.

Privacy: no account and no tracking. Recipes, photos and lists are stored on your phone, not on our servers. When you import, the app fetches the page directly from the website you chose.
