Next, choose a tip rate. Four quick options are available at five percent, ten percent, fifteen percent, and twenty percent. Tap the rate that fits your situation and the selected option is highlighted so you always know your choice. Fifteen percent is selected by default, a common starting point for many dining situations, and you can switch to any other preset with a single tap.

Then enter how many people are sharing the bill. Whether you are dining as a pair, with family, or in a larger group, type the number of people who will split the cost evenly. The app requires at least one person and reminds you if the entry is not valid.

When your details are ready, tap Calculate Split. Win Gauge instantly calculates the tip amount based on your chosen rate, adds it to the subtotal to produce the grand total, and divides that total by the number of people to show the per person share. Every step happens in one smooth flow so you can focus on your meal instead of your calculator.

The Split Result screen gives you a complete breakdown you can read at a glance. See the subtotal, the tip rate you picked, the tip amount in dollars, the number of people in your group, and the grand total including tip.
