The ROUTEpatrol Tablet App is used in conjunction with the BusBoss™ Routing and Scheduling Software to make navigating routes considerably easier for drivers. Gone are the days of paper maps and directions. This application provides turn-by-turn navigation that exactly matches what you have in BusBoss, taking into account door-sided pickups, path points, travel restrictions, and roadblocks you’ve set.
Users can collect student ridership with time and GPS location data via NFC-compatible card swipes, scanning barcodes, or manual input. Additionally, the app will alert users if students are getting on or off the bus at the wrong location or if the child is not assigned to that bus at all. Other features include: providing drivers with pertinent student information, such as special needs and photos, collecting drivers’ time and attendance, and a pre- and post-trip bus inspection checklist. A child check system is provided to alert the driver at the end of their route if a child has not been marked getting off the bus.
