User Reviews

Users like AfroStory’s African-focused catalogue, easy-to-use interface, many free books, and offline download feature. Repeated complaints are missing key titles/limited catalogue, installation or download failures in some regions/devices, and membership/payment bugs that block access. Several users also note occasional sluggishness and slow library updates.
Pros
  • Wide selection of African (and some world) literature — many users praise the app’s focus on African works.
  • Easy to use with a clean user interface and good navigation.
  • Many free titles and the ability to download books for offline reading.
  • Helpful features (download/library, read-aloud, accessibility) and generally smooth reading experience for most users.
Cons
  • Catalogue gaps — users repeatedly request more titles and note missing well-known African classics/authors.
  • Installation and download problems on some devices and in some regions (app won’t install or books won’t download).
  • Payment/membership issues — paywalled content, unclear charges, or membership payments not unlocking purchases for some users.
  • Occasional performance issues (sluggishness or problems with very large books) and slow addition of new titles.

There are still more African books that I haven't seen here and would love them to be included because the App has potential and it's very easy to use.
