Ring Sort Bliss

You're looking at three or four pegs standing upright on a flat surface. Each peg already has a stack of colourful rings slipped over it – red, blue, green, yellow, maybe five or six rings per peg. All the rings are mixed up randomly, so you've got red on top of blue, green next to yellow, and so on. Your goal is to rearrange them so that every peg ends up holding rings of only one colour.
The only move you can make is picking up the top ring from any peg and placing it onto another peg. But there's a rule: you can only put a ring onto an empty peg, or onto a peg whose top ring is the same colour as the one you're holding. That's it. No placing red onto blue, no skipping over rings – just the top one, and only onto a matching colour or an empty slot.
So you have to plan carefully. Sometimes you'll need to move a ring onto an empty peg just to free up the ring underneath, then move that one elsewhere, then move the first ring back. It's a lot like those classic tower puzzles, but with colours instead of sizes.
Each level gives you a set number of moves – maybe 30 to start. You need to fully sort all pegs within that limit. If you run out, you restart the level. No timer, so you can stare at the screen as long as you like, figuring out the sequence. Later levels add more pegs (up to six) and more colours, plus some pegs start with empty slots that you have to use strategically.
Occasionally a “golden ring” appears – it can be placed on any colour, but only once per level, so use it wisely. No power‑ups beyond that, no shuffles, no hints. The puzzle is purely about working backwards in your head: what needs to move first, what can wait, and which empty peg will get you out of a dead end.
It's quiet, thoughtful, and surprisingly tricky once you have five colours all tangled up. But when you finally see each peg holding a single solid colour, it feels like you've untangled a knot. 🟠🔵
