The PDF carries the drawn signature and the photo: that is the record you hand the GC. The CSV carries every line item, so the office prices it into the change order request or the next pay app without retyping. Totals are computed in exact cents from the rates and markups you enter, so there is no rounding drift between the field ticket and the office spreadsheet.

Editing a ticket after it is signed visibly invalidates the signature until the ticket is signed again. Every export carries the preparer name, the date and time, and a note that the content is the author's record.
