Review summary

The most frequent complaint is unreliable Android performance: the app often freezes or fails to record bowling data. Access also depends on a center and lane having Specto hardware, which some users could not find in the app. When it works at a compatible center, reviewers say its bowling stats can be useful and help them understand or improve their game.

Pros

When it works at a compatible center, the app can provide useful bowling stats and insights that users say can help improve their game.
Some users find the experience and data features valuable.

Cons

Many users report that the app fails to track balls or collect data, or otherwise does not work reliably on their Android phones.
Freezing or getting stuck at startup is a recurring problem; some users have to reinstall the app or clear its data to use it.
The app only works at centers and lanes equipped for Specto, and users report missing cities, centers, or compatible lanes.
Users report usability issues, including forced landscape orientation and difficulty with login or navigation.

only allowed to use if they have your city in their system. Couldn't use the app

it only pickks up 6 lanes its 32 lanes at the center I bowl at

👍

Awful. Only works in landscape mode. No easy way to save your games. I clicked Save & Record Your Session multiple times, but the recordings still did not show up in my sessions. So I closed the app and reopened it...all my recordings were gone. Most apps would have this option in the menu, but instead you have to tap the same button you use to pause...and even then, it won't necessarily save your session! Absolutely disappointed I lost six games. I'd rather pay for an app that works than this.

so unless you are there bowling there is no way to get in to send yourself the reports. why!!!!

Almost useless. Screen rotation makes it impossible to see login. Slow. Needs major work.

Doesn't pick my ball up at all. Played 4 games, got maybe 4 readings.

I haven't even used it at a center and I'm already annoyed by the forced screen rotation and there are no options to allow you to use it like a normal app. It's 2024, almost 2025, there are plenty of libraries out there that handle autorotation of the screen.

App is great, definitely enjoy the export feature. Data is king. Thanks for making a pretty excellent product. Easy to kink with any house no matter where you are. Find centers with local centers that use it.

No-go on Samsung S21 5G.
