Features & Capabilities

Impactor Universal Unroot is a powerful, open-source tool designed to permanently remove root access from Android devices. It thoroughly analyzes your system to detect and reverse modifications made by rooting, including removal of root permissions, busybox, extra unix binaries, and startup daemons.

Key features include unrooting your device, permanently erasing user data, performing a full reset (both unroot and data wipe), and offering an advanced reboot menu for convenience. Additionally, it addresses issues with data wiping on older rooted devices. Impactor is well-tested and widely trusted, though users should proceed with caution.

The software's source code is freely available on GitHub, promoting transparency and community collaboration.

User Reviews

Overall, feedback is largely negative. Many users report the app does not unroot devices, with no change in root status or only a brief unroot attempt. A few reviews claim success on specific devices or Android versions, but reliability is inconsistent and not universal. Several users label it fake or useless and cite a lack of developer responsiveness. In short, the app fails to provide a dependable unrooting solution across most devices.

Pros

Positive user sentiment: several reviews describe the app as 'very good', 'nice', or 'good'.
Some users report the app completes the unrooting process.
Appears to work on at least some devices/Android versions (examples include Android 4.4.2).

Cons

Not reliable: many reviews say it does nothing or doesn't unroot.
Does not consistently change root status; devices remain rooted or root is still detected by other apps.
Not universal: effectiveness varies by device and setup, with reports of limited compatibility.
Perceived as fake/useless by several users and some report no developer responsiveness.
