By pressing the emergency red button, users can send live location alerts to control rooms, alerting the nearest police stations or vehicles for prompt response. The app also notifies registered friends and family via SMS. It supports calls to emergency numbers (112/100/101) with location identification and offers mobile complaint registration with multimedia evidence.

Beyond emergency help, Kaaval Uthavi enables live location sharing with loved ones during routine activities such as traveling or shopping. It includes features like police station locator, control room and helpline directories, and notifications. Additionally, it integrates various Tamil Nadu Police e-services including police verification, lost document reporting, vehicle verification, and FIR & CSR status checks, providing a one-stop solution for citizen safety and police-related services.
