LunaVis

The LunaVis app allows the user to view the daily moon data. They can select a date from the calendar icon in the nav bar. They can select a location from the location icon in the nav bar. Once the location is selected an average elevation is determined which the user can adjust if they want. If they are registered and logged in, they can add a location to their favourite locations.
For a selected date and location, the user sees the following daily data displayed: the location they selected; the corresponding time zone for the selected location; the elevation (either the determined average elevation or the adjusted elevation if the user adjusted it); selected date; sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, for the selected location on the selected date; sun altitude; sun azimuth; moon altitude; moon azimuth; moon age; and moon distance for the selected location on the selected date at the current time. The user can browse dates for up to plus or minus 16 days from the initial date they selected so that they can view the data for a whole month. This is done by the arrow keys either side of the moon image.
The user can also select visibility which takes them to the visibility page with information about the new moon and the dates suitable for observing the new crescent moon. The visibility page displays: the date of the next new moon. The consensus visibility (e.g. the first date instance where all visibility criteria agree that the new crescent moon is visible). The conjunction time for the new moon, the selected location, the corresponding time zone for the selected location, the elevation (either the determined average elevation or the adjusted elevation if the user adjusted it), the sunset and moon set for the selected location on the selected date and the moon age at sunset. The user can use the arrow keys to browse dates for the next new moon or previous new moon. The visibility page also displays data for the 5-day visibility window, starting from the selected new moon conjunction date.
There is also an observations page which allows the user, if they are logged in, to upload observation information.
