Home Ledger keeps your home's accounts with the people who help you: the maid, the cook, the driver, the nanny, the gardener and the guard, and the daily khata for milk, newspaper, ironing and water. Mark only those who were absent or came late; at the end of the month it works out exactly what to pay.

SALARY, WORKED OUT THE WAY YOU AGREED
• Monthly salary or a daily rate, with paid leaves per month in whole or half days
• Your rule for one day's pay: 30 days, the days in the month, or working days only
• Half days, paid holidays, extra days and a raise from any date, all counted
• Joined mid-month? Pay by the calendar month, or from the day they joined (10 Jan – 9 Feb)
• Advances recovered in full or in instalments, and bonuses added to the month

PAY AND SHARE
• Pay from your own UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) with the amount filled in, or record cash or a bank transfer
• Send the statement on WhatsApp with the exact dates, or a payslip PDF, in English, Hindi or Punjabi
• A paid month is locked, so the record never changes behind anyone's back

THE DAILY KHATA
• Milk, newspaper, ironing, water cans, flowers: the usual quantity counts by itself
• Mark only the skipped day or the extra litre; the bill so far, every day
• Price went up on the 10th? Both rates on the bill, line by line

EVERYDAY EXPENSES AND A MONTHLY REPORT
• Groceries, bills, medicines, school fees and more, added in seconds
• Or just say it — "500 vegetables, split with Neha" — or share your bank's payment SMS, and the expense is filled in for you to check
• Charts of each month and where the money went by category, how it compares with last month, and a spreadsheet export
• One report with the expenses, salaries and bills you paid, shared as a PDF

KNOW WHO WORKS IN YOUR HOME
• Each helper's address, native place and an emergency contact
• Their photo and ID documents, only with their agreement and visible only to the owner of the home; Aadhaar only masked
• Police verification step by step: your state police's official service, a details sheet, and where your application stands

SPLIT COSTS WITH FLATMATES, FAMILY AND FRIENDS (if you want to)
• Who paid, and how it is split: equally, by shares, percent or exact amounts; more than one payer is fine
• Groups for a trip, a flat or a dinner out, and one-to-one costs with a friend
• Invite with a link; friends without the app can be added by name and join later
• Balances, the fewest payments to settle up, and where you stand with each friend overall
• A monthly statement for everyone, and a friendly reminder on WhatsApp

Stored in India (Mumbai). Only the people in your household or group can see it. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell or share your data. Home Ledger never takes or holds your money and never contacts your helpers. Delete your account from inside the app at any time.
