FocusOS is a minimalist Android launcher built around one idea: your phone should help you focus, not fight for your attention.

FOCUS MODE & POMODORO

Run work/break timers and optionally block distracting apps while a session is active. Get notified the moment a session or break ends — the next phase only starts once you confirm, so nothing sneaks past you while you're away from your phone.

HABITS & REMINDERS

Track daily habits — including built-in water intake — with custom daily targets. Set multiple reminder times per habit, not just one, and they keep firing on schedule even when the app isn't open.

TO-DO LIST

A simple, fast task list with an optional home screen widget and quick-swipe page, so managing your day never means opening a separate app.

DIGITAL WELLBEING

See your screen time and app usage broken down by day, week, and month. All of this data stays on your device — FocusOS never sends it anywhere. Pair it with scheduled or manual grayscale mode to make your phone less visually engaging when you need to disconnect.

A HOME SCREEN THAT STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY

Clean app drawer with search and the ability to hide apps you don't want cluttering your view. A small notification bell appears only when something actually needs your attention — a habit you haven't logged, a pending task — tap it to clear everything from one place.

MAKE IT YOURS

• Multiple curated color themes, plus an Auto theme that samples your current wallpaper for a matching accent color

• 16 fonts to choose from

• Several clock styles and both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats

• One color picker that applies consistently across the clock and all home screen widgets

• Static wallpapers or battery-friendly animated ones — aurora, snowfall, fireflies, a day-and-night scene, a full 8-planet solar system, and a spiral galaxy

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

FocusOS uses the Android AccessibilityService API only after you explicitly enable it to support Focus Mode and reduce distractions.

Accessibility is used to:

• Detect which app is currently in the foreground.

• Block access to apps that you choose during active Focus Mode sessions.

• Help enforce your configured focus sessions without collecting personal information.

FocusOS does not use Accessibility to:

• Read or collect the contents of messages, emails, or notifications.

• Capture passwords, credit card information, or other sensitive personal data.

• Record keystrokes.

• Collect data for advertising or analytics.

The Accessibility permission is optional, used only for the features you enable, and can be disabled at any time in your device's Accessibility settings.

A first-launch setup walks you through the permissions FocusOS uses and explains why they're needed. A full in-app user guide covers every feature in plain language whenever you need a refresher.

FocusOS is still evolving — feedback and bug reports are always welcome.

One important question

To make sure this passes review, I need to know exactly what your AccessibilityService does.

Does it only:

Detect the foreground app and block selected apps during Focus Mode?

Or does it also:

Press Home automatically?
Close apps automatically?
Prevent uninstall?
Lock the device?
Perform gestures or navigation?
Read notifications?

The wording above assumes it is only used for foreground app detection and app blocking. If your service does anything else, we should update the disclosure so it precisely matches the app's behavior, which is what Google reviewers check.
