You can keep track of your loans and borrowings. Whom did you lend to and when is the money due? Similarly, who did you borrow from and when is the payment due? The software communicates with the other party and gathers acknowledgments. The system keeps track of your transactions so you don't have to keep track of loans that are due throughout time, and it saves you time by sending you reminders about your return date.

This is not a financial service; Lenden does not provide financial services, loans, or recruit borrowers to give loans. It functions similarly to a ledger in that it keeps track of who has borrowed from you and who has lent to you.
