Features & Capabilities

Alma Studio is a unique audio app designed to transform your child's bedtime into a magical and calm experience. Created by music award-winner Martin Solveig, it features hundreds of exclusive stories crafted by over 30 authors and performed by 100+ voice artists. The app focuses on gentle, soothing content that helps children wind down and fall asleep more easily.

Designed for children as young as 3, Alma Studio offers voice-guided navigation and a Parent Zone organizing stories into themes like cozy tales, adventures, and music. It promotes less screen time by turning off the screen when stories start, stimulating the imagination like reading a book. The app ensures a safe environment with no ads, no data collection, parental controls, listening timers, anti-zapping mode, and offline listening. New stories are added weekly to keep content fresh. Subscription offers unlimited access with manageable billing.

Recurring concerns are the cost and subscription experience, plus app usability and missing features. Opinions on language availability differ, so that is not included as a repeated issue.

Pros

High-quality, varied audio stories are repeatedly praised for their writing, narration, music, and sound effects.
Stories are engaging for children across different ages; several reviewers say their children enjoy listening.
French-language stories are valued by multiple reviewers, including families seeking French listening material.
Audio-only listening is appreciated as a screen-free alternative to video.

The app’s usability and features are criticized by multiple reviewers, including difficulty finding or tracking stories and missing playback, casting, and playlist options.

Recent reviews

Enfin une application pour histoires en français et en anglais (!!! youpi!!) parfaitement adaptée pour les différents âges des enfants, simple et avec l'écran noir sans animation vidéo. Service client au top, merci pour tout
