I've been using my hilo band for just over a week now and I'm finding the ability to see my BP over the course of the day very useful. I suffer from High BP. The readings aren't as accurate as a monitor of course but getting an idea of the BP level at any time is useful for me.

User Reviews
Users appreciate the Hilo app for its accurate, comfortable 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and clear graphical results aiding health management. However, recurring issues like frequent Bluetooth disconnections, syncing problems causing data gaps, and dependence on server connectivity reduce usability. Firmware updates are sometimes inconvenient, and the app lacks some data export and cross-platform syncing features. Despite these, its integration with the wearable and overall effectiveness make it a valuable tool for hypertension monitoring.
Pros
- Provides accurate and useful blood pressure monitoring, especially beneficial for hypertension patients.
- Comfortable and convenient wearable for continuous 24-hour blood pressure tracking.
- Graphical and clear representation of results in the app facilitating easy comprehension and sharing with doctors.
- Automatic data synchronization and user-friendly interface with helpful step-by-step guidance.
- Effective support and an overall well-integrated hardware-software experience.
Cons
- Connectivity and syncing issues frequent, including loss of Bluetooth connection requiring re-pairing.
- Data gaps and missing recordings for some days causing incomplete monitoring.
- Limited offline functionality; the app requires a connection to the server, hindering data access during flights or without internet.
- Firmware updates can be challenging, sometimes necessitating use of another device and causing confidence issues.
- Lack of export options like CSV or multi-month reports and inability to sync with other health apps limits data usability.

This is highly disappointing. The band and app worked for me from the evening of the 27th August 2026 to the morning of 4th of September 2026 and has not worked since despite being worn in exactly the same way. Calibration was done correctly. All the "insights" were unlocked then nothing. The app still works the cuff only, not the band. Support via a chatBot that doesn't help. I'm waiting for a human to get back to me. I hope to be able to update this with a positive outcome. Time will tell.
