Better Start Literacy Support

The BSLA App delivers structured Tier 2 literacy practice that aligns directly with BSLA Tier 2, Level 1 and 2 lesson plans. Designed to complement in-class Tier 2 teaching, the app offers independent, skill-building activities that students can complete both at school and at home.

Learners progress through a weekly pathway of engaging mini-games that build phoneme awareness and strengthen letter–sound knowledge. Additionally, a dedicated practice area provides opportunity to further develop key skills such as blending, segmenting, and sound manipulation. Voice instructions guide each step, encouraging feedback celebrates progress, and learners can unlock and collect playful avatars and frames as they advance.

BSLA teachers can create groups, assign weekly programs, and monitor student performance - ensuring every learner receives targeted practice at the right time.
