AutoPayy operates as an SMS-based financial transaction manager. Its core functionality relies on automatically detecting and organizing UPI autopay mandate notifications sent to your device by Indian banks via SMS. This allows you to track recurring subscriptions, EMIs, insurance premiums, SIPs, and other financial mandates in one clean dashboard without manual data entry.

🔐 PRIVACY FIRST & SECURITY
• Local Processing: SMS alerts are parsed 100% locally on your device. We do NOT upload your SMS messages or private financial information to any server.
• Bank Credentials: We never request or access your bank credentials, OTPs, or full account numbers.
• Google Sign-In: Secure authentication with zero password storage.

🛡️ ABOUT RESTRICTED PERMISSIONS (READ_SMS & RECEIVE_SMS)
AutoPayy requires the READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS permissions because automated, real-time parsing of bank-issued transaction alerts is the core functionality of the application.
• READ_SMS is used to parse existing bank alerts on startup.
• RECEIVE_SMS is used to update your mandate statuses in real-time when you receive new execution or registration alerts from your bank.
Without these permissions, the app cannot function as an automated mandate tracker.
