Athar is a single Islamic app that brings together everything you need for your day: the Quran, prayer times, supplications, prayers, Qibla direction, and prayer beads — without a single ad and without any tracking.

🔒 Your privacy is not Product

Most free apps make you the product. “Athar” is built on the opposite principle:

• No ads—not one
• No analytics or tracking of any kind
• No account or registration: no name, email, or phone number
• We don't have any servers that receive your data
• All your preferences, prayer counter, and reading location are stored only on your device

The only thing that leaves your device is your location coordinates, which are sent encrypted solely for calculating prayer times, without any personal identification. You can completely deny location access and manually select your city.

⚡ Intentionally Lightweight

Download size is only ~21 MB. The 604 Quran fonts (67 MB) are downloaded page by page as you read, instead of being crammed into the app at once—and once downloaded, the page will work offline forever.

📡 Works Offline

The Quran and its interpretation, remembrances, supplications, prayer beads, Qibla direction, stories, and biography—all work offline. Internet access is only required to update prayer times for a new location, for live broadcasts, and to download the font of a page that hasn't been read before.

📜 Verified Sources

Every source displayed within the app is on the “Sources and Licenses” screen: the Quran text, its interpretation, supplications, and the call to prayer (all under the CC0 license), and the fonts under the OFL license, with full license texts.
