AegisID is a digital identity wallet. It lets you receive, hold, and present verifiable credentials from organizations you trust — directly from your phone, under your control.

WHAT IT DOES

Receive credentials
- Connect to an issuing organization by scanning a QR code and accept a credential into your wallet. Your credentials are stored on your device, not on a central server.

Prove who you are
- When a service needs to verify something about you, AegisID shows you exactly what is being requested before anything is shared. You approve each request individually, and you can decline.

Stay in control
- Credentials live in your wallet, and you can remove them at any time.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

AegisID is built on open decentralized identity standards. Credentials are cryptographically signed by their issuer and verified against a private and permissioned ledger, which means a verifier can confirm a credential is authentic without contacting the organization that issued it and without that organization learning where you used it.

Your wallet is protected by a PIN and, on supported devices, biometric unlock. Credential data and keys are held in encrypted storage on the device.

BUILT ON OPEN STANDARDS

AegisID is built on Hyperledger Indy, AnonCreds and DIDComm messaging, using the open-source OpenWallet Foundation Bifold codebase. It is designed to interoperate with standards-based issuers and verifiers rather than lock you into a single provider.

WHO IT IS FOR

AegisID is intended for people who have been issued a digital credential by an organization using the AegisID platform for workforce identity, membership, access, or identity verification. You will need a credential offer from an issuing organization to make use of the wallet.
