RuneTrace is a logic deduction puzzle game that challenges your reasoning skills. Navigate a 5x5 grid of runestones from start to finish, but each game hides a secret rule that determines which paths are valid.

RULES CHANGE EVERY GAME
Each round randomly assigns a hidden rule from a growing pool. Rules may require matching shapes, matching colors, differing attributes, or following specific patterns like shape cycles. Your task is to infer the rule through trial and feedback.

CORE GAMEPLAY
Tap adjacent runestones to extend your path. Correct selections light up the runestone and advance your route. Wrong choices trigger a hint and deduct a step. Use these clues to narrow down the rule and plan your route to the star-marked goal.

SCORING SYSTEM
Victory rewards you based on runestones collected, remaining steps, and consecutive correct selections. Longer streaks of correct choices earn significant bonus points, encouraging careful reasoning over blind guessing.

PROGRESSIVE DIFFICULTY
80 hand-crafted levels introduce rules gradually. Start with simple shape-matching on small grids, then progress to multi-attribute combination rules on larger boards. Each new rule type is introduced with guidance before being mixed into regular play.

ADDITIONAL MODES
Random Challenge mode generates unique puzzles with random rules and layouts. Daily Challenge mode provides the same puzzle to all players using a fixed seed, allowing you to compare optimal strategies.

VISUAL DESIGN
Deep blue-purple gradient backgrounds, glowing runestone outlines, and smooth path animations create an immersive atmosphere for focused reasoning. All runestones use both shape and color for accessibility.
