Mój Rybnik

My Rybnik gathers everything Rybnik residents look for throughout the day in one place: when the bus runs, when the garbage will be collected from their home, what's happening in the city in the evening, and whether it's possible to open a window today.

This is an independent project, not an official application of Rybnik City Hall. The source of the data is explained at the end of the description.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN THE APP

Home
One screen with what's important today: air quality, outage and traffic jam reports, the nearest waste collection point, departures from your stop, upcoming events, and the score of the Rybnik team's last match.

Events
Over a hundred events collected from the Rybnik Land Theatre, iRybnik, biletyny, three community centers, and other sources, categorized by concerts, plays, cabarets, films, exhibitions, and workshops. You can add events to your favorites and receive reminders the day before.

Transport
Full Rybnik Public Transport schedule: 626 stops, 44 lines, over 70,000 departures. A countdown to the next bus, favorite stops, and a route overview. The schedule is saved on your phone, so it works even without internet.

Connection Search
Enter your departure and arrival time, and the app will show you specific journeys with times, including transfers: which line to take, where to transfer, and how long to wait. You can enter an entire district instead of a specific stop.

Waste
A collection schedule for your address. In Rybnik, collection times depend on the street, house number, and building type, not the district itself, so the app asks for a specific number and shows your exact area, either in a list or calendar format. Reminders arrive the evening before.

News and Announcements
Local news from Radio 90, rybnik.com.pl, rybnik.eu, nowiny, and tuRybnik, plus official IMWM warnings for Rybnik. Outages, disruptions, and warnings are displayed at the top of the list and on the home screen. You can hide messages that don't apply to you with a single click.

Where to dispose of
Enter the item, and the app will tell you which bin it goes in and why: batteries, Styrofoam, Christmas tree, receipt, light bulb. Plus, the addresses and hours of both Rybnik PSZOKs and the GPZON hazardous waste collection point, along with a list of accepted items.

Desktop Widget
The nearest collection point and the current PM10 without opening the app.

Air Quality
PM10 and PM2.5 measurements from the Rybnik-Borki GIOŚ station, along with a quality index. You can set your own threshold and receive a notification when it's exceeded.

Power Outages
Planned and emergency outages at Tauron Dystrybucja, tailored to your house number, not the entire district.

Sports
Results and schedules for Rybnik teams: ROW 1964 Rybnik, INNPRO ROW Rybnik speedway team, and ROW Rybnik women's football team.

WHY THIS APP?

No ads. No accounts or logins required. No user data collection, and no servers are required. We adjust the waste collection schedule to your address exclusively on your phone. The only exception is power outages: to check for these, the app asks the Tauron Dystrybucja service for your street and house number, as they cannot be determined otherwise.

After the first launch, data is saved locally, so the app works even without network coverage. There are light and dark themes, selectable manually or according to system settings.
