Vehicle inventory for salvage yards & car lots: VIN scanner, zone map, export.
Auto Lot Finder is vehicle inventory for salvage yards, auto dismantlers, junkyards, tow and impound lots, auctions and car lots. Scan a VIN at intake, place the car in a zone of your yard, and find it again in seconds. It is a business tool for yard inventory — not a tire-pressure app for your own car.
WHO IT IS FOR
Salvage yards and auto recyclers keeping track of parts cars, tow and impound lots that have to account for every vehicle, auctions moving cars between rows, and dealer lots keeping stock organised. One vehicle inventory, one map of the yard, one list to search.
VIN SCANNER INTAKE
• Scan the windshield or door-jamb VIN barcode with your phone camera, or type the VIN
• Add the year, make, model and your own stock number
• Pick the zone the car is parked in: intake lane, ready for sale, parts hold, insurance hold, crush queue or overflow
• Every intake goes straight into your inventory, counted against your plan's monthly intakes
LOT MAP BY ZONE
• See your whole car lot inventory by zone, with on-lot, ready and flagged counts
• Tap a zone to list every vehicle parked in it
• Move a car to another zone in two taps — the change saves for your whole team
• Flag a vehicle that needs attention
SEARCH YOUR INVENTORY
• Find any car by VIN, stock number, make or model
• Search covers sold and scrapped vehicles too, so every VIN that was ever in your inventory stays findable
• Correct a mis-scanned VIN, or delete a duplicate record
AGING AND CSV INVENTORY EXPORT
• Days on lot for every vehicle, and an oldest-first sort that shows what has been sitting too long
• Export the complete inventory as a CSV file — VIN, stock number, year, make, model, status, zone, days on lot and intake date — for your accountant, insurer or auditor
• Mark cars sold or scrapped when they leave; the inventory record is kept and a car can be returned to the lot
MOVEMENT HISTORY
• Each vehicle's zone history, kept for as long as your plan includes
BUILT FOR YARD TEAMS
• Create an organization for your company and invite your crew by email
• Intake workers, lot managers and the front office work from one shared vehicle inventory
OPTIONAL RECEIVERS FOR AUTOMATIC ZONE UPDATES
The app works without any hardware: you place and move cars by hand. Automatic zone updates need receivers on your lot — off-the-shelf radio receivers (a USB receiver plugged into a small Linux computer or Raspberry Pi) that you buy, mount and own, following the setup guide at adelyons.com. Receivers recognise a car by its tire pressure sensor (TPMS) IDs, which you read with a TPMS tool and enter during intake; receivers decode 34 sensor protocols. Zones you name for your receivers, such as "Row A", appear on the lot map next to the six standard zones. Without receivers, cars do not move on the map by themselves.
PLANS
• Scout — free: 20 vehicle intakes a month and 30 days of movement history
• Yard — 300 intakes a month and 1 year of history, billed monthly or yearly
• Operations — unlimited intakes and full history
Current prices are shown in the app, in your currency. Receiver hardware is not part of any plan.
Whether you manage salvage yard inventory, dealer inventory across crowded rows, or a tow and impound lot, Auto Lot Finder keeps every vehicle, zone and VIN in one searchable inventory.
