Adebabay

Adebabay is the marketplace built for East African diaspora communities - a home for the everyday things you need to find, sell, or hire, plus the news that matters to your community, all in one app.

Whether you're settling into a new city, furnishing an apartment, hiring a babysitter, or looking for your next job, Adebabay connects you directly with people in your own community - no middlemen, no spam, just real listings from real people.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- Browse & Post Ads: Find or list rentals, cars, jobs, businesses, electronics, and more across Maryland, Virginia, DC, Minnesota, California, Washington, Texas, Georgia, and Addis Ababa.

- Babysitter Matching: A category built specifically for childcare - mark yourself as available to babysit, or post that you're seeking one. No other classifieds app does this.

- Connect Directly: Call or message sellers without ever leaving the app. Real-time in-app chat means you don't have to hand out your number until you're ready.

- Stay Informed: A dedicated News tab keeps you current on Ethiopian and diaspora-relevant stories - general news, immigration, and business, pulled from trusted sources.

- Save What Matters: Bookmark listings you're interested in and come back to them anytime.

- Verified Badges & Boosts: Verified sellers stand out, and boosted listings get pinned to the top of their category for extra visibility.

BUILT FOR YOUR LANGUAGE

Adebabay is fully translated into English and Amharic - switch languages anytime from your profile. Read and post in whichever language you're most comfortable in.

SIMPLE, FAIR PRICING

Early users get 10 free listings in year one, then 1 free listing every year after that. Need more? Pay $10 per listing, or go unlimited with a Business subscription ($15/month) for unlimited posts, a verified badge, and 2 free boosts every month.

BUILT ON TRUST

Every listing is tied to a real, signed-in account. Message sellers in-app, see how long ago a listing was posted, and report anything that doesn't look right.

Whether you're settling in, moving up, or helping someone else do the same - Adebabay is here for you.
