My bookstore created by taking a photo of a bookshelf. Reading records, bookshelf organization, book clubs, and second-hand book trading all in one place.
My Little Bookstore is a free reading app that allows you to create a library using photos of your bookshelves, keep a reading record, and even organize neighborhood book clubs and trade used books all in one place. No need to search for separate reading record apps, bookshelf organization apps, or book club apps; just start with this one app.
■ A Single Bookshelf Becomes Your Bookstore
Don't search for books one by one. If you take a picture of your entire bookshelf, the AI reads the spines and registers multiple books at once. Registered books are automatically sorted into bookshelves by category, and photos are used solely for recognition and are not saved. You can also register books by searching for title, author, or ISBN, and complete sets are displayed in a single line, with missing volumes indicated.
■ Record Every Reading Moment
From statuses like "Read," "Reading," and "Want to Read," to star ratings, one-line reviews, and book reviews. Capture memorable sentences by taking a picture of the page and tapping to save them. You can set the visibility for each record (Only Me, Followers, or Public). The date you marked a book as "Read" is automatically saved, and there is a reading retrospective feature to view the books and sentences you read this year. It does not pressure you with goals or achievement rates. The entire record can be exported as a CSV.
■ A Library That Organizes Bookshelf
Bookshelf by category, filters for reading status, visibility, and "On Sale," search by title and author, and sort by alphabetical order or star rating. In bookshelf organization mode, you can move multiple books at once or post them for sale. This is suitable for those who need to manage their book collection and maintain a library inventory.
■ Bookstores Resembling Neighboring Bookstores
If you follow other people's bookstores, new additions, one-line reviews, and quotes flow through your feed. Each bookstore has a guestbook, and you can view records from readers who have read the same book, organized by title. It helps you find similar bookstores that share many books with your own library.
■ Neighborhood Book Clubs
You can create or join a book club, and once you set the meeting schedule and location, you will receive notifications two days prior and the following day. There are boards for discussion questions, meeting reviews, and club stories. You can find clubs and readers in the same neighborhood by administrative district, and personal locations are not saved. This is suitable for those who run book clubs or book groups.
■ Sell Used Books in Your Neighborhood
Upload the books in your library as used items or giveaways, and trade via chat. For complete sets, list any missing volumes. If the book you want isn't available, set a "Let me know when it becomes available" request. This is suitable for those looking to organize their old books or sell complete sets.
■ Find Books
For each book, we provide links to availability at nearby libraries, local bookstores, online bookstores, and e-books.
■ Recommend Next Book
Based on your records, we suggest the next book and quote from your history to explain why. This feature unlocks when your library contains 50 or more books.
