Voltiq is a minimalist chain-reaction puzzle where a single tap can cascade across the entire grid — or stop dead at a wall. Your goal: figure out where to trigger before you fire.

The logic is simple. The depth is real.

### HOW IT WORKS

Every cell you ignite lights up its four neighbors. Those neighbors light up theirs. The reaction spreads tick by tick until it runs out of cells to reach.

- One rule, always the same. The core mechanic never changes. What grows is the grid.
- Fully deterministic. The same tap always produces the same result. Predict it, plan it, execute it.
- Watch the chain animate. Each reaction plays out as a fluid wave of light and energy — satisfying even when you miss.

### WHAT MAKES IT CHALLENGING

Limited ignitions. You only get 1, 2, or 3 taps per level. Every choice matters.

Fragmented grids. Walls split the grid into isolated regions. With fewer taps than regions, you must choose which zones to light — and which to leave dark.

Chain depth limit. Advanced chapters add a maximum chain length. Place your ignition too close to a corner and the reaction runs too deep. Centrally placed taps stay efficient.

Special cells.
- Double Charge — needs two contacts before it fires.
- Directional — propagates only in the direction it faces.
- Bomb — explodes across a radius, jumping walls.
- Decay — lights up and goes dark in a single tick, creating a timing window.
- Switch — activates only when triggered by the matching color group.

Each type is introduced in a level designed to teach it — no tutorials, no text walls.

Four data-driven themes shift the atmosphere as you progress:
- Neon — Electric cyan on near-black. The energy is on.

- Void — Cosmic violet on deep black. Silence and power.
