আবু ইসহাক

Abu Ishaq was born on 15th Kartik 1333 (1st November, 1926) in Shibangal village under Naria Thana of Shariatpur district. He matriculated with a scholarship in 1942 and I. Passed this. Sixteen years later in 1960 from Karachi (now Pakistan) B.A. passed He was working in various responsible positions in the country and in diplomatic positions abroad. Worked as Vice-Consul and First Secretary in Bangladesh Embassy in Akiab and Kolkata outside the country. In recognition of his special achievements in literature, the Bangla Academy honored him with the Sahitya Award in 1962-63. Among other awards, he received Sundarban Sahitya Padak in 1981 and Ekushey Padak in 1997. In 2004, he was posthumously awarded the Freedom Medal by the State. Abu Ishaq is a brilliant genius of Bengali literature. His novel 'Surya-Dighal Bari' is a memorable literary achievement.
