DPI Changer: Display Density

DPI Changer & Density Tool helps you inspect and adjust Android's logical display density. It is designed for careful interface scaling, readability experiments, layout testing, and repeatable Android setups.

Test before you apply

Use a timed test to preview a DPI change. The previous density is recorded and restored automatically when the test ends. Recovery guidance and reset actions remain available if a value makes the interface difficult to use.

Choose the setup route your device supports

Android restricts system-level density overrides. Depending on your Android version and device, the app can guide you through a supported route such as Shizuku, Wireless Debugging, a one-time computer permission grant, or root. Setup availability varies by manufacturer and software version.

Important limitations

Changing logical density affects Android interface scaling. It cannot add physical pixels, increase the panel's native PPI, improve touch sampling, or guarantee better gaming performance. Some apps and manufacturer interfaces may react differently to unusual density values.

Record the original density, use the timed test first, and confirm that important apps remain usable before keeping a change.
