Deleted and reinstalled 5th time. Changed pass to non-secure - success. Both the desktop and app let log in. Updated pass to secure (Up/low case, spec chars & digits) desktop version accepted it and allowed access but the app continued to display the same error "Wrong password." This is not an issue of an incorrect password it's a defect in the app. I am not ok to compromise my security by downgrading to a non-secure password just to use the app. I guess I won't be using it anymore.
