The full UCS_Pro is of far more practical use than the UCS_Lite, practice version. Auto-saving text, providing a UCS "keyboard" replacement IME which allows UCS text input into any app and fully activated text fields are added Pro features.

OVERVIEW IN REVIEW
It is necessary in the era of small computers to rethink writing and modify the antiquated paper based system to fit new technology.

To distill each English letter down to its most simple finger writing form was a lengthy process of trial and error. It was clear that all UCS strokes should be far apart geometrically to minimize errors and fit within an efficiency hierarchy to maximize speed. (Most used = most simple) Is this goal attainable for English?… was the ultimate question. To strive toward that possibility, a rough stroke system was established first and then later many times adjusted and efficiency matched to standard English keyboard characters. After about twenty years of rearranging and testing, a definitive understanding developed which allowed an objective determination of what strokes fit within the simple UCS writing style and precisely where to put them within the English character system. UCS is the culmination of that long testing process.

WHY UCS?
UCS still feels like English. It is fast, smooth, compact, accurate and requires little visual acuity to perform. Its methodology is patented. The Pro app has two parts. UCS_Pro can 1) replace the generic smartphone keypad if the setting is changed for UCS to become the current pop up keyboard and 2) act as a stand alone app for writing, note taking, list making, text input etc..

After about a month of practicing UCS a few minutes a day, one's desire to tap the generic keypad will diminish. Once mastered, as in ''blind'' typing, looking at a precise finger position is no longer a part of the input process. Text input is calm, non-distracting, long endurance and low eye straining.

YOUR SMARTPHONE PERFORMANCE
Many years have passed since the inception of the idea that a quick non-key alternative to small computer text input could be developed that would perform to a note taking level of speed and accuracy. The major problem has been the technology. Only in the later part of 2021 was the CPU speed and touch refresh rate of some non-gaming smartphones finally reaching the threshold for adequate processing speed to provide almost instantaneous stroke recognition / character output. The stand out smartphone chosen for the 2021 speed test was the Motorola Edge 5G UW (2021). (144 Hz top refresh rate and snapdragon CPU.) It's speed finally reached through the envelope and proved the efficacy of this new system for the Android platform. Other phones with lessor performance may not allow UCS to perform at an optimum recognition/output speed. Users will have to test UCS on their phones to determine whether performance is up to an adequate level.

LEARNING THE SYSTEM
Just keep practicing. Recognition will continue to get better and better. Remember: Exaggerate the loops, set the switchbacks tight and keep an eye on each character output.

THE STROKES
UCS strokes and their positions are not up for debate. They follow specific rules similar to musical notes. Not one symbol is so far off its English counterpart that it cannot be quickly adjusted to. You will discover a new phenomenon which involves your brain's ability to skip over complexity and adjust to UCS simplicity.
