The Reading Detector is a lovingly designed learning app for children in grades 1-4 and beyond. It combines targeted reading practice with a motivating story. This fosters a love of reading, reading accuracy, and sentence-level comprehension.

Here's how the Reading Detector works: Children accompany Rudi the curious rat, who helps his grandfather—a brilliant inventor—with a very special project: the Reading Detector. This extraordinary machine is designed to recognize whether sentences read are true or nonsense. But it only works if the children help. They have to read the sentences carefully and make the right decision.

The app offers three difficulty levels (differentiation):

* Simple sentences for beginning readers (e.g., "Tomatoes are red."),
* Intermediate sentence structures (e.g., "In autumn, most trees lose their leaves."),
* Challenging sentence constructions, including relative clauses (e.g., "Some clocks are digital clocks that don't have hands.").

This way, the Reading Detector grows with the children's abilities and offers suitable challenges for every reading level.

Motivation through playful rewards:
Every correctly solved task activates the Reading Detector: The machine produces sparkling crystals. Children can exchange these with the inventor for exciting modifications to the machine. For example, they can change the colors of the mysterious elixir. These playful rewards provide lasting motivation and make daily reading a real adventure.

For home and classroom use:

The Reading Detector is suitable for both private use at home and for use in elementary school classrooms. Through clear feedback on correctly and incorrectly answered sentences, children, parents, and teachers receive direct feedback and a good overview of learning progress.
