Unit Price Calculator

Our Unit Price Calculator will allow you to calculate the unit cost of an item in two packages of different size and cost. It will also allow you to specify that an item to purchase is "Buy One, Get One Free", "Buy Two, Get One Free", "Buy Two, Get Two Free".

For example, if you have an item that is available in a 16oz container, and it costs $16.00, the unit cost per ounce is $1.00 per ounce. If a second item comes in a 32 oz container, but costs $30.00, the unit cost per ounce for that item is $0.9375. In this case, the second item is the better buy.

Within the "Unit Price Calculator", you for the first item, you would enter "1" for the "Item Count Purchased". You would enter "16" for the "Cost Each Item" - with no "$" sign. You would enter "16" for the "Units in Each".

For the second item, you would enter the numbers 1, 30, and 32, respectively.

Finally, you would press "Calculate" to get the results.

A second example would be where, for the second item, you instead entered the number 2 for "Item Count Purchased", and then used the drop-down to select "Buy One, Get One Free". Now, you are buying two of the item, but at the cost of just one. Pressing "Calculate" would then reveal that you are buying 64 units (ounces), at the cost of $30.00, resulting in a unit price per ounce of $0.46875.
