Trig Tutorial 5

This mathematics tutorial introduces students to trigonometric applications. We find missing side lengths and angles of right-angled triangles by using Pythagoras's Theorem and trigonometry. We then look at applications of trigonometry including finding heights of trees, navigational bearings (that is, working out which direction we should travel to get to a specific location), and using a radar to calculate the position of a faraway object.
