Basic-Français was developed in partnership with the City of Paris and the "Île de France" region with some European co-financing to teach the basics of French.

Basic-Français is an app that guides you through your first steps in the process of learning French. Ludo and Vic were created to represent all the people in this world and promote gender equality. They let you discover French through conversations (in French) that cover many aspects of daily life. There are also many pictures that will help you to increase your vocabulary

Basic-Français breaks down the word wall by verbally instructing the exercises in your native language. This will enable you to learn the basics of French independently of your level of schooling. Basic-Français can also be developed for mother tongues that have no alphabet.

Since the instructions are given in a language that you understand, it reduces your stress level considerably. This makes learning both fast and easy. There are also many activities including voice recognition to enhance your pronunciation, help with memorization and make learning more fun!

Basic-Français covers the first level (A1) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This will give you the means to make rapid progress in learning French.

Basic-Français does not use your data plan. All activities are fully operational without internet connection. This is a very important and rare feature in apps these days.
