2025-01-14	Le*****	Wanted to like this, but it's let down by writing - some incomplete puzzle info, but moreso big plot issues. The "assistant" who won't leave despite the woman he's obsessed with telling him she doesn't want help and showing no interest in him (played as cutesy "he's so shy/she's so oblivious!"). Or someone who literally faked a murder (police involved) being praised for being so passionate and let off with zero consequences and a "keep being you, you're great!". Couldn't keep going after that.

2024-06-21	Ri*****	Just like the good old Professor Layton's games. Puzzles are good, story is good, but ending is rather unsatisfying, since there are at least two mysteries left unsolved (probably reserved for the sequel).

2024-04-07	Al*****	The games are nice but for some reason there's no audio from the cutscenes even though the bgm is there, I've checked the volume too just in case but it's at default settings. This needs some fixing. Edit: The audio ok after uninstalling and reinstalling back. Edit02: After playing for quite some time, the puzzles are interesting, but the beginning stories are not as good, some feels like a bit cut short and not explained well.

2023-09-01	Am*****	Worst version I've played, it takes too long to get anything done. The puzzles are ludicrous. Gave up after the lost and found puzzle which should have been 4 switches not 5 and the falling scales was stupid and you didn't show that the top right part of the display on the right scales shouldn't have been lit, If both displays showed 9 then the answer should be different.

2023-04-27	Do*****	The puzzles are not as good as previous games, with many having confusing wording and odd solutions. There are also multiple mistakes that have gone unaddressed. Puzzle 100 mistakenly reads "A is the correct answer", giving you no information about the puzzle (which isn't even multiple choice!). Puzzle 101 gets right and left wrong, meaning that they accept the answer that is a mirror of the correct solution instead. The storytelling and characters are also quite weak, but still enjoyable.

Miss layton is fine, but the other two characters (especially the insufferable dog) are frustratingly stupid. The cases, which act as the story/plot for this game are simply horrendous. Multiple times I have guessed the outcome of a case within the first minute of it, which ruins any motivation I may have had to go through frankly meh puzzles. Do not buy

2022-05-27	K *****	After playing a couple of the other Laytons games, this 1 was a complete let down.. I uninstalled after playing it 20-30 minutes. Another example of taking a great game and overdoing the upgrades to the point of losing the very essence that made the game good in the 1st place..
