This book was written to assist special education teachers in developing learning according to the conditions of autistic students accompanied by intellectual barriers that are aligned with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. There is a detailed guide in this book. This guide is not just a teaching guide, but can also be used by teachers to inspire and motivate parents in educating their children at home.

There are six chapters in this book, namely: (1) why is this book here?, (2) recognizing the uniqueness of autistic students accompanied by intellectual barriers, (3) identification and assessment of students, (4) designing learning according to the Independent Curriculum, (5) ) implementation of learning according to the Independent Curriculum, and (6) ways to strengthen learning support.

This book is presented in easy-to-understand language, interesting infographics, examples of assessment instruments, stories of teaching experiences, and supporting information which is expected to inspire teachers, both in teaching and in motivating parents. This book is not intended to restrain teachers from providing learning activities.

Teachers can develop learning innovations according to the characteristics of students. The country has been independent for a long time, so teachers should have the freedom to carry out learning according to the characteristics of students and the surrounding conditions.
