Informatics is a field of science regarding the study, design and creation of computing systems, as well as the principles that form the basis of such design. As in classes VII and VIII, Informatics subjects are divided into several elements, namely: Computational Thinking (BK), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Systems (SK), Computer Networks and the Internet (JKI), Data Analysis (AD), Algorithms and Programming (AP), Social Impact of Informatics (DSI), and Cross-Sector Practicum (PLB). In this case, Computational Thinking is the basis for thinking for learning Informatics.

Therefore, the material content of each chapter consisting of theories/concepts related to these fields is presented to hone students' thinking methods for analyzing, modeling and solving problems. These materials are supported by various activities that students can do, both individually and in groups, both plugged (with a computer) and unplugged (without a computer). The hope is that students can understand the concepts and implementation of Informatics better and more meaningfully.

The material and activities presented have been adapted to the needs of class IX students, namely as an introduction to the next level in class The author really hopes for any suggestions and constructive criticism to improve the quality of this book so that it can be even better.
