Christian religious education plays a role in facilitating students' cognitive, affective, spiritual and psychomotor changes in the light of the Christian faith. By studying Christian Religious Education, students can make important decisions in their lives to be loyal to God, able to connect their faith with the realities of everyday life and live a quality life as followers of God.

It is hoped that the Class III Christian Religion and Character Education Book can be presented as a learning resource for students in getting to know God at the basic education level. This book is prepared based on Learning Achievements in Christian Religious Education and Character Education subjects.

The presentation of learning material in this book refers to 21st Century skills which include: critical thinking skills, creative thinking, working together and communicating. Therefore, learning must be student-centered. The teacher acts as a motivator and facilitator so that students can find for themselves the meaning and message to be conveyed in each lesson.

The various learning activities in this book are attempted to be creative and interesting with the aim of developing aspects of students' attitudes, knowledge and skills. Assessment is carried out holistically in every learning activity that can be observed. The role and support of parents as teacher partners is highly expected in teaching learning objectives in the Learning Achievement corridor.

The author realizes that this book still has shortcomings. Criticism, input and suggestions from readers are very much needed in improving this book. We hope that this book can help teachers and students to live their faith in God and express it in their daily lives.
