Philosophy (Islam) is one of the fields that drains the energy of Muslims from the start. Not only related to conceptual (academic) debates, but also pushing into non-academic areas. On the one hand, philosophy is believed to be able to elevate human dignity, enlighten reason, on the other hand, philosophy is considered (too) as the culprit that divides people. "Truth claims" complicate and complicate dialogue and negotiation efforts from the two opposing poles.

Islamic philosophy, although consciously does not want to break away from the authority of revelation, but also with full awareness and high respect takes its materials from outside Islam, especially Greece. The term Islamic philosophy here is included in the meaning of speculative sufism or philosophical tasawuf because in essence it is the development of a philosophical heritage that is revealed in the name of intuition.
